Provisional booking with deposit

Make a provisional reservation from our easy online application form and book a drone by paying a deposit amount.

Step 2

Understand the safety rules

After you make your provisional booking, we will send you the safety rules video and test to take online. You must pass the test to rent!

Step 3
Step 3 - Delivery

Get your drone delivered to you!

Pass your test and we will deliver the equipment to your location in Japan (even to your hotel!) on the rental start date. Enjoy using the drone and keep in touch if you need any support!

Step 4
Step 4 - Return Drone

Return your drone by post

Return your drone via the nearest convenience store on the last day of your rental period, and have your deposit minus rental fee refunded after the equipment has been checked.

About your Rental:

Only credit card payment is available at this time.

Please make your reservation at least 20 days before the start date of your intended use.

“Depending on the number of days until the start date of your reservation, a relevant cancellation fee will be charged. ・ Drone rental service cancellation -A cancellation fee of 30% for cancellation between10 day and 2 days before the start date -A cancellation fee of 70% for cancellation the day before teh start date -And a 100% cancellation charge for cancelling from the day of start date onwards ・ Application agency service (flight application / shooting permission) A 100% cancellation fee will be charged from 24 hours after the application is made onwards. Only a 7-day plan is available currently. Example) 12/1: Rental start date (receive the drone) → 12/7: Rental last day (return the drone)

You can rent upto 1 unit per booking.

Battery-equipped aircraft can be checked in at the counter as checked baggage. Please note that the battery itself MUST be carried as carry on baggage on board. * Please contact the airline you plan to use for details about the rules.

About delivery: receiving and returning your drone

Except for some areas, Yamato Transport ships in principle by specifying a “morning arrival” on the day of the rental start date. * Tohoku, Chugoku, Shikoku, Wakayama areas, etc. may be subect to arrival after 14:00 on the day of rental start.

Unfortunately, the delivery area is restricted to Japan.

Please enter your request in the “remarks” field of your booking form when making your booking. *Please note that we may not be able to meet your request depending on the delivery area, weather, traffic conditions, etc.

We charge the battery before shipping, but due to the nature of the smart battery, it is automatically discharged. Please check the battery level and make sure to charge appropriately before use.

A payment slip will be enclosed with the drone when you receive it. Please use the cardboard box and packaging material that you receive, when packing the drone for return. You can return it easily from any Seven-Eleven convenience store, or Yamato Transport Office, etc. on the last day of rental period.

If the drone return procedure is delayed beyond the dental period, you will need to settle the extra days fee. In this case, after we receive the item, the deposit refund will be made after deducting the extra days usage fee from the deposit amount. * The extended use price varies depending on the product and the number of extended use days (details will be sent by email after the drone arrives to explain the extra fee).

Operating your drone:

■ For both the main drone and the transmitter device: Press the power button briefly and then press and hold it again (to switch it OFF is the same operation again).

To operate the drone, you need to use your smartphone / tablet terminal and set it up in advance. You need to download the following mobile apps: * You can download them for free * Please check in advance to make sure you can download them on your smartphone (version and device compatibility) For the Drone model: Mavic 2 Pro: [App name: DJI GO 4] For the Drone model: Mavic Mini: [App name: DJI FLY] An ENGLISH language manual is included when the drone is delivered to you, so please check it carefully before using your drone, especially if you are a beginner.

You can check it on the mobile application you are using. * Note that the SD memory card, internal storage capacity, etc. differ depending on the drone model.

Do not carry or attach things to your drone – the regulations do not permit it. It also increases the risk of injury or accident.

We recommend flying on a nice, clear day that’s not too windy. The phantom is strong and can handle a bit of wind and light rain. However please note that our warranty does not cover rain damage so please don’t go flying out when you see a tsunami or snow storm coming.

Damage / Insurance:

By default, liability insurance is included in your rental, so you don’t need to do anything. Just let us know ASAP if you have an issues with the drone such as damage or an accident.

Personal liability insurance and Drone Hull/Body insurance, of upto 100 million yen is guaranteed.

Please be sure to contact us immediately if this occurs. ① In case of Damage After confirming the condition of the equipment at our end, we will deduct the repair cost from the deposit before refunding the remaining amount. The maximum cost you may bear is as follows. (We will bear any repair cost exceeding the following amounts) ・ Mavic Mini: 10,000 yen ・ Mavic 2 Pro: 20,000 yen * Thank you in advance for cooperatiing with us during the accident investigation process. ② In case of Loss The fee will be charged at a maximum upto the actual cost of the drone.

Minor dust or dirt on the exterior of the equipment which can be quickly cleaned off are considered ordinary wear and tear and will probably not result in damage assessments. Anything more severe than this will be considered damage.

We’ve shipped items across the country and our packaging is very good, so this has never happened. In the rare case that the items get damaged in transit, contact us immediately at support@seranova.jp and we will send you a replacement or cancel the order as per your request.

Yes. We send you only verified and tested items before shipping them – we check every item in your order and make sure they function well! If there is an issue please let us know ASAP.

Trouble or Irregular occurrences:

In the unlikely event that it is damaged or broken during delivery, we will arrange an alternative drone for you as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience, but in this case please contact us as soon as possible. * Please note we may not be able to provide a replacement depending on the inventory status and delivery area. * If the replacement equipment cannot be delivered and the customer’s need is not met, a full refund will be given. In addition, we always carry out test flights, operation checks, and damage checks before shipping. In principle, it is extremely unlikely to occur, but since it is a precision instrument, there is always a slight possibility that this happens. We hope for your understanding in advance.

Please try taking the following checks and actions. ① Is the battery level of the aircraft and transmitter sufficient? ② Is the power of the drone and transmitter turned on? ③ Is the transmitter and smartphone firmly connected with a cable (did you try disconnecting and reconnecting)? ④ Is the application on the smartphone launched correctly? If the steps above do not solve the problem: ① Restart all drone, transmitters, and apps and try again ② Link the aircraft and transmitter (usually, the equipment is shipped in a linked state). Please check the following points. ① Is the transmitter and smartphone firmly connected with a cable (did you try disconnecting and reconnecting)? ② Is there an error? Case: 1. Battery error → Resolved by having the battery inserted firmly Case: 2. Error near the airport → It may not be possible to turn or operate the drone in flight restricted areas such as near an airport Case: 3. High / low temperature error → resolved after a while by bringing temperature back to normal range

We would suggest one of the following actions. ① Use your own cable instead ② We will send you a replacement cable if needed ③ Purchase a new cable yourself if it is urgent. → If you enclose the receipt when returning the product, we will cover the charge of the replacement cable.

Please check and try the following actions to resolve this. ① Is the gimbal cover removed? (2) Is there any deposits or foreign matter around the gimbal? → Turn the gimbal with your fingers, and if you feel its getting stuck, clean it with an air duster, etc. ③ Restart the drone / transmitter / app

In principle, the drone is only to be operated by the registered user who has completed the safety test and document check. If you let a friend use it, be prepared for the consequences / damage assessments if something goes wrong.
